Mini Composition Books

Every year one of the less expensive treats I do for camp is a little Journal to write memories and thoughts while the girls are at Camp...I buy them in a 3 pack for a dollar at my local dollar store...They go together relatively quickly and I individualize them with Initials...so everyones is unique..and even though they get one every year they look quite different. this year are color is Bright Pink Last year was Lime Green

I got some scrap pieces of DP from my SU Demo and cut them to 2 /12 by 4 1/2 and adhered them to the front. I used the pink side of the Flower stationary that I used for the coaster books to cover the back and wrapped around to the front..I stuck it on with Modge Podge...

I then punched Pixie Pink with the Scalloped circle punch same as for the coaster books. I cut the circles with the initials from Mellow Moss Card stock using my cricut and Mini Monograms Cartridge using the dotted selection. I bought a package of Mini Pink Flowers made by Making Memories they come with fifty flowers in assorted colors and the brads. The ribbon same as the Coaster books is 1/4" satin I got for 1$ at Michaels... thought for contrast I would bring back a blast from the past and include a picture of last years book so you can see the versatality...

Camp Coaster Books

I have been very busy with Family and Camp stuff. I need to take a new Picture of the wood boxes now that they are complete the pink inside looks adorable..I will get that picture taken later today. I need to put another layer of finish on them...Okay well, I decided to just take a picture first..I posted it inthe Post with the other Wooden Box Picture!

The Coaster books I have been working on this week are finished...Though I do want to ask an opinion. My friend tells me I like to many embellishments and another friend agrees..so I am asking for more opinions on weather I need to redo them.

The finished books look like this...I thought it needed more ribbon and re did it to look like this. I thinkthe ribbon needs to thread between two sets of Wires but "what do you think" is it worth the extra work...

Okay I dont know if this is the new Camera or blogger, but I will put the other picture in a different post...Okay the picture upload is not working right now...I will post the other picture later today(done!)...or when I can...so Stay tuned.., If you want to voice your opinion I would appreciate it...

Wooden Flower Boxes

I wanted you to know I have been doing something this week. Its just a big project and I didnt feel I was at a point I could share it yet. This morning I started putting a finish coat on the exterior. I thought,"I can share this!" Like Last year I am once again doing a Church Girls Camp in early August. I am working on several projects, 4 to be exact, for 14 girls, that I will be in charge of. Doing the math that equals(56)projects, well actually 70, because these little boxes wll have something inside them! I try to have a special theme each evening and hand out a momento. This wooden flower box will be one of my handouts. The boxes are sold at Michaels for 1$, a slightly larger one is available for 2$. They come in Heart, Star shapes also. The heart and floer are hinged with one magnetic closer the Star has two magnetic closure. I chose the flower because our color is pink and the theme has a lot of be(e)s in it. Our groups theme is Be Still...going with the scripture that states, "Be Still, and know that I am God!".
Edit 07/29/08 my youngest DD heelped me out and painted the inside of the flower boxes for me so I took a picture to insert here...Didnt she do a great job!

Anniversary Cards

I needed to make 2 more Anniversary Cards. Its been such a crazy few weeks this morning I resorted to an old favorite layout and made a few cards...I am glad to get the cards cdone so I can focus on all the camp stuff I have to do now...

I used my Cuttlebug, the EFs are Allegro, Textile...like them both. Stamps are Bothway Blossoms and Riviting...Colors: Basic Grey and GP White, a few gem stones , Basic Gray Ink and Various Watercolor Wonder Crayons with H2O painters... simple and I feel a nice look for an anniversary card..

Challenge Card and Some New Blogs...

My Friends...Gina and Shari have new blogs...

Gina started a new online Company with a friend for Paper Crafters called Crop And Stick ,( ATG can be found there). In her blog she shows how to use some of the products she sells and uses. I really liked the video clips on techniques, and thought others might also her Blog is called CropandStick2. I dont know how often she'll update I know she is a busy woman with a few jobs and almost as many kids as I have.

Shari is my SU demo...I alwasy enjoy her classes and her blog is about her life and paper crafting....Shari's Blog is called Bits and Pieces...She made a few cards last night that I was going to make also except my power went out at 7pm and didnt come back on until after mid-night and then went back out again until thwe wee hours of the morning... I heard half of the nearby town was with out power. Anyway I llove making cards with Shari and she has two waiting for me to go assemble. Check them out.

I made a card for SC183...I am so rusty..I find Scrapbooking and Card making are different things and its hard for me to switch from one to the other... This is the card I made for it...I feel rusty and hope to make more cards this coming week. I used my Cuttlebug(Swiss Dots, Paisley) and some new DP I got in my White Elephant Swap I participated in(Thanks Christine). I used some HeroArts gemstones and Sincere Saluatations, PolkaDots & Paisleys Stamp Sets with Basic Gray and Perfect Plum Inks. A textured Marigold cardstock, cant remember the maker, and Mellow Moss, Bashful Blue and White GP.

...Life is so crazy around here. Luckily the older girls will be gone this next week so I should only have the boys baseball to go to ... though I think the boys and I might have to go have some fun during the day...the Zoo has been mentioned...

Baby Scrapbook pt1...Family Pages

My new niece was born on the 5th of July!





I have been working frantically for a week to get this baby scrapbook done...I used many Products and Supplies form SU, Making Memories and ProvoCraft, and I am sure many more...The Album is a 6X6 mellow Moss Album. the papers are mostly Mellow Moss, GP white, Bashful Blue, Barely Banana, and Pretty in Pink, So Saffrom was used for some pages as well as Perfect Plum.. some other colors were used also for accents.






I used many Cricut Cartridges, George and Basic Shapes, Oppisites Attract, Mickey Font,Zoobaloo, New Arrival, Stretch your imagination, Jasmine, Teardrop, and the software for manuevering and welding the shapes...I might have missed a cart but those are the main ones.













Many friends have said they wanted to see the album so I am posting pictures here..there are a ton of them. I didnt take them out of the pages so their is some glare from the flash and some are a bit blurry...I am so done with htis album right now...way to many pages to make in such a short time. If you want specific details from a page...in a picture let me know and I'll try to let you know what stamp set or where items came from...I just have a ton to do and I want to go see my niece and take her the album...

Baby Scrapbook Prt 2 Season and Event pages

this is a continuation of my First baby scrapbook Post

Busy, Busy , Busy

I have been very busy making ascrapbook this week...I'll get to posting the pages when I am finished I cant wait to share it with everyone..I am also getting busy with my Camp Handouts and things and I will be posting them soon also...Please come back next week I am sure to have a few post of Scrapbook pages 6x6 and Cards....I hope you all had a Great Fourth of July!

We had a White elephant exchange with our crafting stuff this month gettign rid of those little odds and ends you buy and never use all of... well thats what we exchanged cant wia tfor the big reveal to see what I get. I mailed ny package to my little Ellie yesterday and this is the card I made to go in it..We had to make a White elephant card. I chose to use my cricut and cuttlebug to make the card...I used the Dvine swirl to look like the sky with wind blowing and then

I used Distressed stripes to make the ground in brown, cutting along one edge of ta stripe to make the ground bumpy. I cut he elephant from Animal Kigndom out 3 times and then layered with 1/8" and 1/16" Dimensionals. then I used grey and Pink Chalk to add depth. The one eye really caught the flash, but both eyes are tiny hero arts gemstones...they are the sparkliest. the center of the sun I used the 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 circle punches and then just used dimensionals to attach it to another piece of yellow and free hand trim the sun rays...the stamp set is retired Sentiment set from SU. I hope you enjoyed it...
