Every once in a while it is nice to help someone out with the skills I have; so this week I helped out a friend by making some wedding invites for her son and his fiance. They moved their date up by a few months and have not had the opportunity to get enough money together. My firend asked if I could help out. I used Photoshop amd a free brush set I downloaded called DecorativeFloral Brushes:by Pixels and Ice Cream: I get the brushes and other decorative features for using in Photoshop at Brusheezy, and Fonts at Dafont...English was used for these announcements. I love having a computer and a nice printer when a friend needs something with a quick turn around. I also used my stash to punch all the Scalloped ovals. Using up scraps from the wedding invites I made last year for my DD is areal bonus. I dont know if I have any scraps of CC left...:) which hasnt been the case in over a year. I used SU Punches, CB Swiss Dots Embosiing folder and RGB codes for Certainly Celery and Mambo Melon. The lime ribbon is an inexpesive Offray satin .50 cents a roll with an Organza Strawberry ribbon 2.89 for 25 yards on sale. SU Certainly Celery was used to mat the image.. The Postacrds and Registration cards were designed using an image designed in photoshop from the same floral brush set and English font. The return address is printed on the reverse to help cut down mailing cost for the RSVPs. I'ld like to say these were fun to make but when you make 200 of something a little bit of the fun wears off, but it was fun to come up with a design and produce the first few!

Easter Wishes
Happy Easter Everyone! Iwanted to give another go at the Color Combo Challenge for SCS last week. I goofed and used Peach Parfait last time. well this card was in the process of using only SO Saffrron, Pear Pizzazz, and Pretty in Pink, when I decided it really needed the Melon Mambo ribbon and roses. Can you call Melon Mambo a Neutral? LOL..I thought not! I decided the paper flowers would be pretty in a liitle spray on a card front. Every time I make these flowers I wonder if they would turn out just as good if I made them out of fondant and put them on a cookie or cupcakes...someday I will have to find enough time to try! This time I used my Scalloped Circle punch from SU. I really like how the scallops make cute little petals for the flowers. I used my MS leaves Punch to dress up the roses. I really like the So Saffron background Embossed with Victoria EF. The sentiment is from SU: Something to Celebrate Stamp Set. I love how this card turned out. I know My SIL will love it too. She always feeds us the most lovely Easter Dinner. Making my Easters extra special. I wanted to make her an extra Special Card. I hope she likes it. I hope you have an Extra Special Easter Also. Until Later...Happy Stamping!

"Keep Dreaming"
This week I had a fullfillment of a dream I had for my Children. My Daughter graduated from college with a degree in Mathmatics Education. Her Husband also graduated in Latin American Studies. I am so proud of both of them. What an accomplishment! I mad ethem this card. I thought of using congratulations or Celebrate on th eCard but decided that Dream worked great.. because of the fullfillment of a Dream and the Dreams yet to come in their life.
I hope they like the card. I used Pear Pizzazz, and Melon Mambo. I havent got my Melon Mambo stamp pad yet, so, I sponged with Pink Passion, and Certainly Celery using the SU Decor stencil set, "Faux Flowers". The ribbon is stash form th ewedding last June and I used the sentiment form fabulosr Phrases. I lov ethis style of card every time I make them. Hope you do to.

Embossed Sketch Birthday
SOmetimes you try to make a card and you have a definate look in your head of what it is going to look like and then you make it and it transforms into something else. Such is this card...
When I saw the sketch challegne I used onthis card I invisioned a mostly white card using jsut color for the borders. but that Changed as I began to assemble the card. neccesity called for more color.
I lov eth e Cup Cake Punch for Brithday cards. I also like the EF I used on the front panel Darice Circles. I also used the Once Upon a Time EF set for the cupcakes in the back panel for the first time. I love the texture...
For all the Ingredients of this card please Check out my Card in my SCS gallery. I have been typing blog post for a week and I think I am finally caught up to the cards I have made so everything should start being more current.

Well I cant go to this place with out stopping at my favorite Craft Store. I also cant go tot my favorite craft store without finding something I *need*.
This trip I found some Darice Embossing folders so I used one of them on this card..Its called Large Petals lov ethe little dotted swirls and hearts withthe flowers embossed on to SU Melon Mambo. I also bought a lattice border punch by EK Success. I used them both on this card. I liked how it turned out. The light pink is GP Pastle's Pink for the butterflies SU Sizzlet. Certainly Celery for the leaves SU Sizzix die, Embassy Black. This card is definately a using th eStash Card. The flower gemstone I have had for 2 years, finally used it! have more I need to use.

Boys Birthday Cupcake Trio
I made this set of Cupcake Cards to finish catching up all my Birthday cards for April. I dual used it for a Color Challenge Card on VSN. Using baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler and Certainly Celery. The stamp set is Something to Celebrate.
I love the Cupcake Punch and and adding texture with Embossing folders. Since I was making three cards it really cut back on Waste from the cupcake punch, using th edifferent pieces ont he different cards. I like how the Herringbone worked on the Cupcake wrappers and Divine Swirl on the Frosting... I used my corner punch to make the sentiment stand out a bit more. Using "Brithday Words" As a abckground makes the CupCakes stound out even more... This was a quick and easy Card to make! I love being caught up on Birthdays once again! Now to grow my stash before the Birthdays start coming again.

VSN & CCrak Challenge #12 "Embossed Birthday Card"
This is th elast of my CCrak and VSN Challenge Cards.
It could have been posted with the other tile cards but I Like how it turned out and figured it was worthy to stand on its own. Maybe its a little frilly but I mad eit for my Nephew. I liked turning the tiles so they were diamonds and punching the broders. The straight strip down th ecenter is one of thise strips you get when you punch some borders out so this card used lots of Scraps and Stash, left over tfrom allt he other cards I made for all these Challenges. The double Embossing Folder background really turned out well and I will use it again. Victoria and Birthday Words really added to this card, I need to use this style more often. Thanks for being patient while I caught up on all my VSN Post. Now I can catch up on the Challenge Cards for last week. I should be all caught up before I head out of town for a few days...LOL! Deets from SCS gallery.

VSN & CCrak Challenge #11 "Textile Blossom"
This card from VSN is an old Flash back to my favorite LO form a few years a ago, but I added a newe twist, adding some of the Embosslit Sweet Buttons to the front of the card and inside of the Button behind the knot. I had the button and the emboslit one fit perfectly. since their were no holes I punched one inth ecenter like a doughnut and then slit the button and slid it behind the ribbon the slit is hid by the ribbon. I have wanted to use the Tartan EF for a while now....and htis Card seemed to screem for me to use it on the Saharah Sand Paper.
The Sentiment came from Eat Cake and is stamped and matted with Cherry Cobbler. as is the Paaisley backgrounder on to the Big Blossom backgrounder form SU. I really liked how it turned out for the Using a Background Stamp, not as a background VSN Cahllenge. I had been thinking how I used to love using my background images all the time Pre Cuttlebug...I have been tryign to use them again more and this challenge helped me do that.

VSN & CCrak Challenge #10 "A Cherry Hello"
I love the Tart and Tangy set from SU so simple and cute. I used Cherry Cobbler ink and wiped off the stems with my finger ,then used a Certainly Celery marker to color the leaves and stems. Stamped and then and punched it out how easy is that. The sentiment is My Pink Stamper Fruit and Veggie Puns. Which go really well with Tart and Tangy which doesnt have a sentiment. Cherry Cobbler Cardstock Embossed with the Dots folder worked great aas a background and I added more leaves using Celery Cardstock and SU sizzix Leaves Die. Gingham Ribbon...need I say more...OK, yep I do,"I love it!". All in all I thought this card turned out very cute and I need to make a set of them for my Mom for Mothers Day.

VSN & CCrak Challenge #9 "Baby Boy Toy"
For VSN I had some goals in Mind to get my Brithday cards caught up and my Baby gifts caught up..I was behind a Nephew's Daughter, some Twin boys Niece's Son and my stash of cards was virtually gone. So I made a couple of this Little Blue Gem.
I love this Baby words Embossing folder with a little Circular image I like how it turned out...the VSN a Childs Toy helped come up with this little card...I love little babies and how they smile when you wave a rattle at them...so cute. I loved the look of the scalloped edge on the border punched trim with the QuiKuts Large Dots EF. Card Deets

VSN & CCrak Challenge #8 "Fifth Ave Birthday"
SO I really liked the using vellum challenge for VSN in Feb. I also really liked my card so I did a varitation of it for the CCrak Challenge again wehn I needed another Birth day card for my DD#4.
I am still busy altering a prom dress and gettting my house in shape to leave town again, but I managed to stop by the carft store when I went shopping naer my favorite LSS. I embossed the vellum with the SU 5th Ave Floral Embossing folder and then colored the back side with SU markers in Pretty in Pink and Cetainly Celery. The stamped sentiment is from the Eat Cake set in the mini...love the scriptiness of it, I stamped it in Timber brown stayzOn because Black just seemed to harsh. I used my various punches to mat it and pop it up. The ribbon ias left from the wedding last June.Hope you like it...Until Later ...Happy Stamping!

VSN & CCrak Challenge #6 "Tiles Three" and a few more
finally a post that actually includes some of the CC raqk challenge cards...
The first card is the one I made for the VSN challenge. I made several tiles with this technique when I did the challenge. so I used th etiels and scraps from VSN to make the cards below. I loved this color combo...and I love the cards I made when I had a bit more time to think about making the card
I used Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard and Cajun Craze for the color scheme. Thick Ranger Embossing powder and my heat embosser. The EF folder once again is Victoria I really felt it went well withthe images on the the tiles. I lov ethe set it came from a clear set I picked up a while ago..and finally am getting around to usuing. Once again to save time during cleaning the Supplies are listed with the cards in my gallery at SCS all the cards are shown there with their ingredients.

VSN & CCrak Challenge #5 "Bird Bliss"
Okay still plugging along...and I also managaed to make a new card to post in the future...I can't wait to be all caught up here on my blog and at home. just another dya and another quick post.. between loads of laundry. It really seems my life is out of my control right now, it is a feeling I dislike intensely...but I have grown to understand that I cant control everything so I make sure to do something I like each day also just to keep life fun. Creating cards gifts and scrapbook pages does that for me...I relly like how this card turned out. I know I used Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand and Vanilla CS. I also used the large designer punch. I used the Cuttlebug "Victoria" (Love it!) EF in my Big Shot. I think the stamp set is SU "Bliss" and was from the mini.
I cant remember its been too long!:( I will go find it if you ask and really want to know, but because I dont get many comments and I am not sure who is really reading I am going to Opt out of listing all the supplies. They are all listed in my SCS Gallery HERE. I hope that works for you! I have a ton to do before I go to my DD & SIL college graduation in a little over a week...anyway...

VSN & CCrak Challenge #4 "Can I Have This Dance"
Sorry about being so behind...I inteneded to finish posting these while on vacation and uploaded the pictures to my ipod so I could. Well sickness struck and I didnt get it done, by the time I was where I felt up to posting them I didnt have internet access handy. I did enjoy making this card during VSN it went together really quickly. I loved the challenge to do a card with a Wedding dance them. I thought of this image and "Can I Have This Dance" immediatly. The only difficulty I had was in gettting the image to print up solidly. I used a SU bella DP , and Night of Navy Ink to stamp the image and sentiment. The stamps are from a clear Inkadoo set called wedding/marriage, I bought it because I loved this image and several word sentiment phrases in it..
The ribbon is an organza from the excess stash from my DD wedding 2 years ago. I punched the flower images using a die cuand then added the pearls because what's a wedding with out pearls right.
