I have been so busy making my Christmas cards. I made 200 of them I started having flash backs to making 400 Wedding announcements. I enjoyed making them I hope that the receivers love them too. I bought the Ruby Red and Certainly Celery Paper to use a few years a go and then was side tracked by Wedding announcements...that actually happened the next year also.
Last year I had a genius idea to make a DVD. This year I decided I had the time and the supplies to make the Cards so finally they happened. I used Christmas Money to buy this cute Stamp Set from SU called, "Beautiful Season" I stamped in Early Espresso.
I used the Bright and beautiful Sentiment on th einside of the card, but after getting them all assembeled I felt I needed a sentiment on the outside too so I used this one from the SU "Best Yet" set. I used SU large oval and punched the sentiment out, and used my Martha Stewart punch to make the green boughs and attached them behind. I loved using the Gem stone Ribbon I got a Micheal's for the Holly Berries...they are Recollections 1 Yard of Ribbon, bling on a roll. They are staggered 2 deep so it was easy to cut them in triangles and attach them. I used about 1 and 1/2 yards to make 200 cards so I still have some to play with on some other odds and ends.
For the image I used my Water Color Wonder Crayons and painted using Lucky Limeade and Ruby Red. I used Lime aid because it is very close to Certainly Celery and paints just a bit darker.
I matted with Certainly Celery, and punched the corners using EK double corner punch. I embossed the Ruby Red using Cuttle Bug snowflake form a set of Christmas Cuttlebug folders. and then mounted the image on top with glue dots. The card base is 4 1/4' x 4 1/4". I used the ribbon stash making these cards. 2 different Chocolate Organza, some of the green Satin form the wedding some Chocolate and white gingham , and so red and green gingham. I think I used up 6 different used spools and they all look great...but being the only difference I choose the 1/2" dark brown Organza bought on a trip out west at a Roberts probably over 5 years ago. I used scraps for all the branch punches and sentiments...and a lot of the image matting. I like that I am still using the stash. There is an old saying I love, " use it up, ware it out, make it do, or do with out." I thin k sometimes we get to caught up in having all the newest colors and items and I am glad I was able to use all my old out of stock colored cardstock and ribbon scraps.

Turkey Nut Boxes
Every year for Thanksgiving we have nut cups at each persons table setting. This year after seeing these cute boxes on my friend Wendys Blog ...and this post by my friend Kelly I decided to combine the two and make some Turkey Nut Boxes...
I got the DP card stock at Michaels...the turkeys are both made form the same paper...I filled them with GV Indulgent Trail Mix from Walmart...Its one of my favorites with Cashew, Almonds, Peanuts, White and Dark Chocolate Chip's, Golden raisins and Dried Cranberries in it. Of course, I doctored it up and added an extra can of Cashews to it... My Husband loves Cashews.
My turkeys were made using the following SU punches...and colors
five petal flower...beak and feathers... SU Yo Yo Yellow and Only Orange
scalloped circle ... backing..................SU Early Espresso
1 1/8 Circle ..........facing....................." "
1/2" circle.............eyes........................GP White
1/4" circle.............pupils......................Embassy Black
I used mostly scraps from my scrap box to make the Turkeys, and I punched eyes because I was trying to "Use the Stash"; Kelly's use of Wiggly Eyes would be fun.
I also closed my boxes different than Wendy. I just cut a square at about 1 1/2" and then folded it in half and slipped it between the edges.. it appears to be holding. I used, Close to Cocoa , Chocolate Chip and other Brown scraps from my Scrap box. I think My Nieces and Nephews will love them...
Happy Thanksgiving... I hope yours is Great!
I am madly working on finishing up my Christmas Cards.. I think I will be able to post them next week. Until Later..... Happy Stamping!

A&R Album #3
It was fun piling everyone into our van to make the road trip from UT to CA. visiting with our little grandson and Son in Laws was fun. We didn't take enough pictures of the trip. so I added a photo page to include some excellent pictures I couldn't fit on other pages
The CA reception was wonderful.. it was nice not having to worry about everything and get to just enjoy the day.
Love the family and friends photos also...you can never have enough.
I couldn't find the opening present pictures form CA so I added an extra page for photos..I really needed them because e there were so many great pictures.
I did a first apartment layout also but opted not to include it because my Daughter never sent the images..she thought she included them in with the first year ones so she gets to mount and trim them herself.
Funny story behind this page is I forgot to take the cake top across country when I went out for my other Daughters college graduation so I had to ship it in the mail I did my best to protect it , but alas it didn't fair well...My DD said it still tasted good, though.
That is all for the Scrapbook...I have some turkey nut boxes to show you next. I cant wait.
Until Later...Happy Stamping!

A&R Album #2
I liked how the little pocket for the Slideshow CD turned out. I used Dots and Musical Flourish and some of the ribbon left over from their announcements.
I don't like how all the pictures turned out probably because I took them through the plastic covers
It was fun to recall all the fun memories of this sepcial event while making this albums.
The honey moon I had no pictures of though I am getting some from my Sister in Law but on the squares I...were cards printed up that said Richard remembers, and Amy remembers.
This sibling page was the most fun to put together and make I loved the pictures.

My Mom's Family Frame
My Friend Wendy made this adorable Family Frame and Wicked Frame on her blog months ago. I have wanted to make one for my mom forever. I bought her a frame intending to get it made before we went Camping with my parents in Aug...Her Birthday was while we were there.
I never did get it made so last week I worked on this project. I needed a few additional SU supplies, that my DD brought with her from Utah on her visit last weekend.
Now it is all completed please visit Wendy's blog(Link On Side bar) for details on Measurements etc for making your own frame. I used Spice Cake my new favorite DP from SU. Early Espresso, Pear Pizazz, Pool Party, and Peach Parfait ( I was out of More Mustard, thankfully also delivered by DD).
I used my Bloom Cricut cart to cut the gate and floral pieces, And Plantin' School Book to cut the letters. a Sizzix die to cut the swirls, from a swirly corner cut. And SU Sizzlit's for the Butterflies. Any questions just ask.
My daughter also brought the Wedding album back to her sister in UT. I will be ready with that blog post in a few days. May be we can set a record in the Month of November with Number of blog post wouldn't that be nice..
