There She Goes"Butterfly Happiness"

Well its been a rough week to make cards I am in a slump! I did manage to make 2 more cards. I used Jessicas THERE SHE GOES "Butterfly Happiness", because she was having a contest Going Dimensional...I used CC208 colors Baja Breeze, Pacific Pointe and Garden Green on one and my cuttlebug...misplaced my small dotted strip Hope it shows up soon...I used my two tag punches to make the horizontal strip. I painted with Pacific Point reinker and stamp one Butterfly layer on Vellum with Pacific Point. I used paper glaze on the third layer the body, its not wuite dry for the picture. I was in a rush to take the picture because I was late finishing it up for the Friday Deadline. I think I made it by midnight MTN time.
I used my paper piercer. I think the branches on the Garden Green on the Baja Breeze turned out really nice.

The second card uses Ballet Blue and Old Olive and Very Vanilla CS, I masked using a post it... well several post its some for the butterfly and the red Square Frame. I stamped the Butter fly first and then the vine and then masked with small psotins in the center and larger ones making the outer square then I used Model Mask to cut tiny pieces to cover the leaves and then sponged with Ruby red. I also sponged the Vanilla card base. I used Houndstooth with the Cuttlebug on the Ballet Blue another folder I dont use often enough.
I like how both cards turned out but they took forever because I am so rusty and I cant remember where I put my stuff when I moved my stuff right before the whole wedding event...
Until Later ...Happy Stamping!

Sympathy Pair

I am slowly but surely getting my routine back again...My sister informs me my family blog needs work also, but one thing at a time.
I was in need of a few Cards for some friends going through a loss.
I made these 2 cards today using
There She Goes"Here For You" I love it Its a very versatile set of stamps.

I also wanted to try doing the CC challenge at SCS, but couldn't figure out how to get Pacific Pointe worked in so I settled for SU Green Galore and Baja Breeze with Very Vanilla...The second card Uses SO Saffron and Really Rust. I used EK;s 1/15th Dimensionals and CB folders on both; Diamonds in the Rough on the first & Leafy Branch on the second. The new to me thing I used was the Square Rhinestones ICE from SU. There are some cute colors in the pack. These are similar cards yet different. I heat embossed on Very Vanilla, with Clear on the first and then used H2O painter and Bashful Blue WWC to paint a light background decided it needed more and brayered with Baja Breeze and sponged some also.

On the Rusty card I heat embossed with Copper and then brayered with So Saffron and then Real Rust in halves and then sponged with So safron and brayered with Real Rust..I used MM antique copper brads..why is it I am feeling Copper is making a comeback... I also use dmy Copper metalic Dew Drop to rub the CB embossed back ground.
Until Later ... Happy Stamping!

Olive Loads Of Love

Okay I made one other card the last time i made cards and I meant to post it but I have been busy and Under the weather...so here it is I made it for my BIL's Birthday...I think it is very hard to make cards for men because I have so many Flower stamps..I have been trying to work on that. I do have SU Loads of Love so I used it for this card.

I used some Michaels "Garden Botanicals" paper pack bought a year or so ago, in an Olive Color and some SU Ridinghood Red. I used my Prismas(124) to color and a little of Gina K's Odorless solvent to blend the colors in using a stump and some blending done dry with a colorless blender Pencil also from Prismacolor. I highy recommend getting some a little goes a long way. I think I need to get used to writing down the colors I use. The ribbon is actually closer to the CS color but doesnt look to great from the flash. I like how it turned out. and I think my BIL will like it also. SO now the boys are out of the tub and watching a movie..so you got it I have time to stamp.
...Until Later ...Happy Stamping!

Okay More Cards

I had a great day making cards last Saturday.
Wish I could put together some more days like that. Unfortunately I have one more Wedding event to get out of the way before I can get back into a routine again. I have been a little under the weather this week with some kind of Cold or sinus thing...I have been getting a bit more rest. Tomorrow I head out toward the East Coast hoping to get some good driving weather. Here are a few more cards I made last weekend. More Thanks Yous and one Birthday. I used SU:Inspired By Nature. I dont know if you can go wrong with this stmp set. I used Watercolor Wonder Crayons, again in the blues...some seemed to dry too quickly its a large stamp so after stamping the first image I spritz the stamp with some of my stamp cleaner and stamped again. Of course I used both images on cards. I just added a bit more color with my WWC and an H2O painter. I used Summer Sun Bashful Blue, Taken with Teal and Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive and Certainly Celery...maybe some More Mustard..I cant quite remember. I tell ya Stress causes havoc to the memory.

I used Taken With Teal to accent and mat the first two cards. I also added some texture with D'vine Swirl to the first card with my Cuttlebug.
I really like how the second Card turned out. I think it is my first trully successful simple stamped card. I used Basic Gray to stamp the sentiment.

On the third card I used the grass from Inspired by nature and Upsy Daisy. I used Pale Plum and Perfect Plum and Old Olive and Certainly Celery for the image I like how the grass looks ...I think it really added a great feel to the card

I hope you enjoy the cards...Until Later ...Happy Stamping!

Cards, Cards and More Cards

I am a little giddy! I actually got to make cards yesterday, and I made a day of it. It has been so long I was really out of the routine. The wedding hoopla is almost over. One more trip for DH and I and then maybe we can get a routine going again. Life seems a little weird right now... feeling like things maybe different...Oh well I made some cards. I had a ton of people to thank for helping me with the Reception for my DD's Wedding last weekend. I used Pink at first and Upsy Daisy, then I decided it would be more appropriate to use Tempting Turqouise and Taken with Teal. I used Water color wonder Crayons and an H2) Brush to apply the color to the Stamp. On the pinks I used Pretty in Pink, Pixie Pink and Rose Pink. for the stems I used Certainly Celery. On the Blues I used bashful Blue, Taken With Teal and Tempting Turquoise and a little Old Olive and Certainly Celery for the leaves and Stems.

On the first card I used Basic Gray and "Thanks For Everything" to make the card. Probably too big of an image to make fit on the standard card front. so I had to cut the V notch to allow for the ribbon. I sponged with Pixie Pink. and some clear rhinestones. I think its cute but it shows that I was a bit rusty. I think I would have sponged with a different Pink hue. I am also trying to use up some old Cardstock this year..way to much being stored. this is a Bright Pink that was an old SU color. The ribbon is some left over bright pink Offray,I got for girls camp this last summer. The second card I was much happier with. I like how simple it was to add some pink rhinestones under the sentiment from Upsy Daisy stamped in Certainly Celery. the green striped ribbon is an old dollar find from Target. I did need to use a SU Certainly Celery marker to bring some of the stems out.

I forgot to mention that I used "Floral Screen" cuttle bug folder to add some texture to the background. I like using it when I stamp with flowers. This time I used Blue gem stones a left over wedding find...are you sensing a theme yet...
and I raised the sentiment on Dimensionals.

The last card is similar to the first but I turned the card and used some grosgrain ribbon in turqouise to add
a different look.

Oh last but not least I thought I would show you a family picture from the reception taken by my SIL from "Just So...Photography"
I need to get the originasl image from her this one is from an online slide show and it is less pixelly...I will post one f the whole family later(were missing DD#4) when I get it from the photographer...Dont we clean up well... Oh and Yes all the girls had their heels on I was barefoot....;)
Until Later
...Happy Stamping!!!
