Friends Forever Card

I used the Sentiment from Upsy Daisy, and a red gemstone
cut from a christmas "Ho Ho Ho" I got at Target a few years ago by Me & My Big Ideas. The Card stock is SU Chocolate Chip and Ridinghood Red, and GP white. I embossed using my "Friends Forever" cuttlebug folder and then sponged the edges and the embossing with my Dew Drop in "Moonlight white".
I like how the embossing turned out I need to try this technique again. I really like the simpleness of this CB folder.
I hope you like this card also.

I've Been Busy

I have been busy with a gazillion projects in and
around my house, and my craft room for weeks now. I have been taking pictures but I have had no time to make a post on my blog...

I noticed so far this year I have managed to make 5-6 post a month to my Blog..but so far this month a big fat zero...I hope to post at least 5 before June first.

Early in the month I made a lot of Birthday cards using a similar theme and the Sweet Stems stampset from SU.

they were fun to make and I had a lot of fun. I colored the images with my prisma colors and used my colorless blender pencil to help blend the colors.
If you have a question post it here and I'll answer your questions on colors. the sentiment is from Upsy Daisy. I used my martha Stewart lace doiley border puunch on the one card. the various ribbon is Offray from Wal-mart. I have used Swiss Dots, Textile, D'vine Swirl, Floral Fantasy, Floral Screen, Cuttlebug folders. I also used various, gemstones from different manufacturers but most are Hero Arts. The Black Cardstock is form a package at Michaels, the White is GP white cardstock from Michaels, and the colors are all SU.
Until Later ...Happy Stamping!
PS: I have successfully typed 6 blog post for the next 6 days... so please come back and check them out...hopefully we will be on a roll leading into June!

SU Mothers Day Project

Last weekend I got together with my Demo Friend and made a project for Mothers Day. She had made a similar project with her upline earlier in March. I really liked the colors we used and now probably might have to have a few new Stamp Sets. I really like how the projects turned out...Probably shouldnt post them(no peeking mom) but I am.

First we made a box with a ribbon handle and 3 note Cards(like Card fronts and stamped matching Envelopes. Then we made three Cards also. I'll have to look up the supply list and post it later...Cause I need to go dig out my Catty.

We used Summer Sun, Pacfic Point, Kiwi Kiss, Ruby Red
& Chocolate Chip Ink pads. We sponged and layered the Chipboard pieces...I took a close up of the box front becasue it was a little dark in the first picture
The final 3 cards used lots of layering. Dimensionals and a different fold. It was fun to get together and make cards. Wish I didnt have to be in such a hurry and had more time to make more cards...Life has been so busy lately.

A Fun Card

I dont know what to say about this card I just sat down and created it. I used "5th Ave Floral" I have really wanted to practice coloring the rose image so this is my second attempt. I out lined alot with my Red water color pencil and then used my H2O water painters to blend and paint. I used Real Red Always Artichoke, some old DP I have ahd laying around for quite some time and my textile and Dvine swirl CUttlebug folders. I cut hte circle using my Creative memorie circle cutters using the red and blue blade around the outside of the smallest circle. I stmped the sentiment also and then Sponged it with Creamy Caramel to blend better with the DP. I used some Dark Pink tropical MM brads. I didnt have any Red ones...I guess I have used them up but I felt this color ma

tched the lighter areas on the rose image. I used my Paper piercer to alling the hole for the brads. the rose was cut out by hand and mounted on dimensionals.

I am really curious to hear what you think about this card.

Until later... Happy Stamping!

Amazing Turquoise Humingbird Card

I made a card for the SCS Sketch Challenge SC225. I am really pleased how it turned out. I used the SU Pretty Amazing set I really like this set. The sketch was pretty Easy and I really liked it I will Definately use it again. I used a Decorative Cardstock from DCWV Old World Stack...I really liked the color of Blue and the Texture. When I started the card was just going to use it with Tempting Turquoiseand white only, but I later decided to add Summer Sun. I really like the yellow accent with the blue. I used MM yellow brads from the tropical color pack I believe. I am not sure I got them along time ago, remember my goal to use up my stash. I rStasmped the flower image on Barely Banana Ink and then rolled the edges with summer sun. I love the Rock N Roll technique with this flower. I stamped it off center on the square becuase I knew I wanted to use the hummingbird image on the card also. I colored the image using my SU markers in Tempting turquoise, Pink Passion, Summer Sun and just a touch of Bashful Blue. I blended the colors a bit with my H2O painters but not alot. I then trimmed the image and mounted it on EK 1/16" dimensionals.

Anniversary Cards

I had so much fun making cards the other night for my CCRak Group. I try to keep up on all the Birthdays and Anniversaries. I havent had too many Anniversary Cards to make lately but that is starting to pick up since its Spring and Summer.

I wanted to make a Black and White Card with a touch of Real Red.... so here is what I came up with.

I used my Anniversary set an old Clearstamp $ set from Michaels. The sentiment is Best Yet.Both are stamped in Adorondike Pitch Black Ink. I colored the tie with my Real Red SU Marker. I liked the sentimnet for an Anniversary Card. I added the three dots on the sentiment and decided to repeat it with brads. On the inside of the card I wrote Happy Anniversary along with a note. For the cards I used some old Black Paper that I had lying around from and All Black Package at Michaels...Yes I am still working on reducing that infamous stash that gets aquired much quicker than I can get rid of it. I assure you I have bought more paper the last few months than I have used making cards! I used my Textiles Cuttlebug folder to emboss the white piece of CS thought it would look alittle like lace. then I matted it withBlack after attachign the 1/4" Red Offray ribbon, I am sure it was a Wal-Mart Purchase...again using the stash. These are very simple but I think they turned out really nice...I am loving my ATG by the way incase anyone was wondering I highly recommend them for economic reasons...My SIL sells them at ther store Crop and Stick! Check it out! They are on sle right now and your first 60 yrd roll of tape is free! If you get one let them know I referred you. No special reason because I am not getting anything for it...I just love mine and after having to alwasy wait to buy more little tape rollers I decided that for the money I would spend so much less on adhesive if I had an ATG.

2 Masculine Birthday Cards

I have finally managed to work stamping into my schedule..at the beginning of April I decided to go on a diet and exercise program to lose weight... the 30 min of exercise was leaving me very tired and drained, but I have perserved for a few weeks now and I am starting to get my energy back I am upto 45 Min of exercise on my treadmill and I am so being faithful to eating correctly. Finally this week I have managed to make a few cards and now I am trying to squeeze blogging into the schedule. It seems as I lose weight and exercise more my ability to get things done quicker is improving. I am also finding it harder to sit in one place for too long... Ithink my metabolism is picking up. I think it was at a stand still. I am doing a lot more. I have a long way to go to be the weight I should be...my goal right now is to just get where according to a BMI Chart I can say I am not obese...just over weight.

Here are the two cards I made for my Nephews..One is turning 25 and the other is turning 11.

I chose to use Wildlife Reserve I really like it for masculine cards. My Cardstock choices were Basic Gray and Always Artichoke. I colored the images with my Prismas and felt AA went well with the greens in the images. These are basic cards. I used my SU Punches for the squares. and mounted them on dimensionals..Didnt add Ribbons or frills in hopes of keeping them more masculine. I used "Argyl" and "Dimonds in the Rough" cuttlebug folders to add some texture to the backgrounds. I hope you like them.

...Until Later... Happy Stamping!
