Another Day, Another Card!

I know it seems unbelievable...but I made another card.. nothing totally new I just was looking at my stuff and I had some pieces of card stuff that were not used so I decided to make a card withthe scraps..even the base is scrap since it was a piece that didnt fully emboss to the end..something shifted when I was embossing.

There are only a few new things used for this card. One was the embosslit butterflies from SU.  I have used them before and I love them.
I did add an Embassy Black to the cardstock colors but other wise the colors are the same as on the daisy cards I posted a week or so ago.  I also used the SU scallop border punch on this card.  I also used the Happy Birthday Stamp again on the inside of the card. Now I am down to about 10 Birthday cards in the rears! I hope you like the card.
Until Later... Happy Stamping!

Retro Robo Birthday Card

So I need to get my stash of cards restocked...funny how it has drained itself the last few years while I have been so busy! Now I just need my routine back on track. Today I made this cute little card for a little boy. It was fun I dont  know why I dont get to do this more often!
I finally got to use my "Robotz" Cricut cart  which I just love...I also took a closer look at it today; I didnt realize it actually made a ton of 3D Robot boxes.  I might have to give one of them a try when my Card stash is replenished.  I used my stash box...I finally found it... amazingly I couldn't find it last week when I needed the green strips for the daisy card..so my Craft Space memory is improving...and the Mojo is starting to flow a little better.
For this card I used pieces of  SU: Night of Navy, Certainly Celery, GP white. The black is Embassy, the light purple and a textured gray, sorry I cant remember.  I used SU Birthday Whimsy to stamp.. and QuiKutz EF's  Retro Diamonds and Polka Dots....I used Cuttlebug: Diamond Plate. After assembling all the pieces I realized that I hadn't done anything for the background. I remembered my DCWV Latte designer paper, becasue it had all the colors in it.  Luckily I had a large enough piece of stash that didnt look flowery and actually looks pretty good with the diamond and circle theme going on.
Last of all I put the pieces together and wished I had some little gear shaped metal brads becasue the wording looked lonely.  I remebered I owned a Creative Memories Hexagon Punch. so with that and a 1/4" handheld circel punch I managed to make some nuts. I hope you Like it!

Spring Daisy Cards

So I finally had some time to create and take Pictures. It seems during the Holidays I was making things and getting them in the mail before I thought Gee take a picture.

I am terribly behind on Birthday cards again so in the last few days I have assembled 5 and a half of these cards.  I need to cut out more daisies for th elast card... I used my "Walk in My Garden" cart and my Cricut to cut the daisy at 3 sizes each 1/4" smaller than the previous. I believe 2.5" 2.25" and 2".

I then embossed with swiss dots the daisies, Polka Dots the card bases, and Victoria the strips of Melon Mambo and then a piece of scrap which I punched the flower centers out of at 3/4".  after embossing the pieces I layered the 3 parts of Daisies and Centers and then pierce with a paper piercing tool.  I then inserted a ki Memories, "Juicy Summer" brad in the Melon color to hold the flower pieces together.  I bent up the flowers petals to give depth. I used a glue dot to adhere to the panel strip after adhereing all the layers together. I finally used the SU:"Tiny Tags" stamp and punch set, I purchased in October. I also stamped Happy Birthday form SU "Well Scripted" on the inside.  So fun making these spring like cards with all the snow outside!

Until Later..."Happy Stamping!"

Simple Christmas treats

I have been working on a lot of things this past month. One was getting a new computer set up and running try as you may.. it just doesn't happen quickly enough.   I also worked on baking and decorations for a Christmas Party at Church. I used something similar for my Daughters wedding reception 2 years ago..because the budget was limited.  I traded the cookies I made at a cookie exchange and got a few treats! One of which I wanted to share because I thought it was so cute...My friend made Chritmas mice! she used marchino cherries stems make the tail, dipped in melted chocolate bark and a hugs with almond slivers for ears so cute...I can think of tons of different looks you could get using white bark and the different flavors of kisses so darling!

I made these candy cane raindeeer for my Son to hand out to his school class and teachers oh and the bus driver!  These are a long time favorite of mine for ease of making and putting together.

Sorry I have rotated and saved it on my computer and I keep getting a sideways view.

The second picture shows how many I made and has them upright...I will fix it later if I can get it to stay upright.

Last of all I finished up a Christmas Card Movie on DVD, decided to share lots of events in pictures this year since so many wonderful thing shave blessed my life, and going throughthe images mad e it easier for me to remeber so I decided to save myself a lot of writting and story telling because after all a picture is worth a thousand words right.

Oh and I also finished my DD's album, but forgot to take pictures before sending it in th email.  I will need to nag her to take some pictures once she gets the images in it.   Since she is expecting now we will see how that goes...if she doesn't get it done I will have to take them in the Summer when I go to help with the baby.
Until Later...Happy Stamping!

Wall Art for Mary!

My niece slept over this weekend.  While she was here we decided on some features for a Vinyl Wall Quote.  She chose to have some Dragonflies and the quote, "all you need is Faith and Trust and a little bit of Pixie Dust". Her Birthday is was the day her parents picked her up so I told her I would get it made and layed out this week so I could give it to her on Halloween at a family potluck we are having.

It looks a bit odd in the pictures even though the transfer tape is pretty clear it does have a bubbly texture to it.  Her walls are white and she has blue decorations so I used a blue vinyl.
I did the layout in SCAL 2.0.  The font is a free download called, "Courtney Dorkling".  The dragonflies are in a free dingbat file called, "Keroppi". Love that I can cut anything on my Cricut with SCAL.

Cards for a Friend!

I thought I should come a post a set of cards I made for a friend recently. I had regifted a card to a common friend and she loved the saying from the retired SU set Sweet Serendipity. The main problem I had was I didnt own the set. I found one available on ebay but wasnt going to be home at the closing time to bid on it. My dear friend Wendy managed to buy it for me ebay. She sent it to me and I made the cards. A really team effort. I have wondered why I didnt buy the set before I love the sayings on it. The friend who asked me if she could pay me to make a card has lived in many different places over the years and wanted to send one to a friend. I thought she might need more than one so I made her six. I hope you enjoy them, she was so pleased to recieve them.

I am getting a bit lazier in my blogging. As if you couldn't tell, but I have deciede to just list companies in the labels. If you need to know something specific ask..If I get a lot of request maybe I will go back to posting them, but right now it just seems like a lot of extra effort. Right now I am working on some scrapbook items hopefully I will have somethingto show for it soon.

Hope you enjoy the cards...Until Later Happy Stamping!
