I have been having issues with Photoshop! I finally fixed the major problemlast night at 2 am. Now I can finally make a post with some of my cards. I actually have made a few ...hopefully I'll have time to get them posted. My friend Karen Hunsaker and I were chatting after her final submission to Spellbinders...I made the comment I know what I would do with the two dies..the scalloped heart and Butterfly. Mind you I dont own either of them. She asked what and well I did not have and adequate vocabulary to explain myself. I tried describbing to her what I would do to no avail, so the next day almost a week ago I made the following card. This was a see if I could do what was in my head card, since I dont own the spellbinders dies. I had to make due with my Creative Memories Star cut and my Cuttlebug Butterfly. here is what I came up with. Maybe Karen can use the SB ones and post a cse using the products I was picturing...(hint, hint) I used Baja Breeze and GP white to make the card.
I had to score the White piece of paper 3 times into quarters. I die cut 2 butterflies and stuck them to Clear Quilting thread with glue dots, after embossing them in the embossing folder.
I sponged all the white card stock with Baja Breeze, after embossing the out panels with textiles embossing folder. I did this card very quickly, and on a whim I could probably make a much better one if I took my time...(me shrugging my Shoulders).
On the Baja Breeze outer cover which I realize now I should have embossed. I had assembled it with out thinking everystep through. I stamped with SU retired Crosshatch background and clear embossed using Kalidescope embossing powder by Ranger. I made a small slit at the fold for the ribbon. I used Riveting and stamped the sentiment. I used an old scalloped circle lying around from the wedding favors...(keeping with my goal to use those old stashed items..yeah!) and mounted the circle. I love riveting! I need to remember to use it more. I added dots with my white gel pen and then slid it over the Ribbon and mounted it to the base with dimensionals. I also used my Fiskar corner punch again...my clearance find a few weeks ago.
PS...
I do think the SB scallopped heart would look so much better with this cut and embossed..I really do need to get me some nestabilities one of these days.
I hope you enjoy my card ...Happy Stamping!
