Mystery Blog Candy #3

Well I was too busy to get any cards made ahead. I spent the evening finishing up super hero costumes for my Youth Camp leaders to go with our Justice League theme. I'll post a picture when I get back. We made Boots out of Red Duct tape for Wonder Woman and Superman. Seems there aren't any red boots to be found. I will be out of town until Next Sat. I will try to make a post on Sunday if I am not too tired that I sleep all afternoon. I wanted to post some blog candy though, too keep everyone visiting. I forgot to get it together though. So I am going to call it Mystery Blog Candy right now.

I will post a picture of it Next Tues before I leave for my family vacation.
SO here are the details to get Blog Candy. You need to leave a comment on my Blog on this post or a post that comes after. Just a hello is suitable. You may make one post a day, that means you can get 21 post in between now and the 27th. I will post a picture of the Candy in a week, and give Allison notice then. So if you check this week you get a head start. I have asked my demo to post some cards while I am on Vacation. I should have asked her to post this week also, but for some reason I thought I would have soem time to get some extra post in for my DD to post. You may comment on her post but just one post a day per person. I will draw a random Number with an online picker around midnight the 27th.

The value of this Blog candy will be over 20$ and include a gift certificate. I am sorry but because of weight and shipping cost, this blog candy will only be available to residents of Canada and the US.

I hope you will leave a comment every day! Thanks for visiting my blog.
Thanks for the patience and Support.. and while I am away...Happy Stamping!

I'm Ready to Go!

I am absolutely tired. I didnt get a chance to sit in my craft room except to write a list. I have everything packed and ready to go. I should have taken a picture of my packed van so you could see all the stuff. My DH is such a good packer. He came in when he was done and said, "Amazing its all in and you can still see out the back window". He always manages to see the good side of things. I will hopefully get to make a few cards tomorrow. Now I need to find my matress and get a good nights sleep.
Everyone take care and until later... Happy Stamping!

BIA Circle book

Today was a very busy day. I had to finish shopping for camp food. It sure takes a lot to feed hungry teenage girls for a week. I also spent the day finishing up organizing charts for organization and chores. But I am finally almost finished. I got home from all the errands and took a nap at 7 pm. I had too much to do and I was tired. I still need to make sure my girls have everything they need to go, but I have tomorrow for that.

One of the last things I had to do was decorate the circle books I made for camp. I had decided a few weeks ago that they were fine with decorative paper, and if I didnt have time to finish them that would be okay. After I finished up what I needed to do tonight. I dug them out and finished decorating them. Arent they cute? They are being used for everyone to write nice things about each other in.

I purchased the decorative paper at Michaels and talked about it in this earlier post. It talks about how I cut all the paper for the books with my cricut. The covers are circle Coasters I purchased from Starlit Studio. I bought the prima petites from All That Scraps. I used the heather colored ones. I used my computer to print the sentiment. I have found that if you set the paper to have 4 columns you can type sentiments that fit with in the small tag punch. You have to watch the height. I type five sentiments per column, and make sure I have a bout an inch between them. then I allignthem Horizontally so i can cut the apart and use the punch on them. I used my SU tag punches to cut the cardstock and sentiments out. I used my Cuttlebug and the Tiny Tags Dies to cut the tags out for the names. I've used these dies for a lot of little tags on cards. The rhinestones I purchased in a $ section at either Archivers or Target. I bought them awhile ago to use for camp, because I need to keep within the camp budget. They were a sentiment saying Cutie Pie. I cut the word to separate the rhinestones and use a pointer to lift them off and put them where needed.

The thin tan stitched ribbon I got at Michaels. the Gold ribbon is an after christmas clearance purchase and the other stitched ribbon is SU True Thyme and Cranberry Crisp from the 07 In Colors which are now retired. Here is a picture of my mess from making 18 of these, I even get one. I just wanted to show you the crystals stickers. Ignore the rest of the mess, I am, until the end of August. (wink, wink)
Just one more quick story, I had planned to tie both tags on the ribbon together, but I didnt like the look. I covered the holes I punched with my 1/8" circle punch with the primas. I noticed my punch was not working the best and was kind of sticking. Then I realized I hadn't emptied it out in ages. It literally rained tons of little colorful confetti into the garbage. I am relieved it wasn't a problem with the punch.
I am going to try an make some cards Saturday and Sunday for my DD to post while I am gone. I am just so busy I dont know if I'll get around to it. I will also be posting after mid-night Sunday, some Blog Candy. I'm not sure what, but I'll figure it out and post it Monday bright and early before I leave. This one will run from the 6th until the 27th, you will be able to comment more than once, but only once a day. I will use the Random Number picker online to choose a winner. Please come back Monday to see what it is.

Camp stuff and Flag

Well tonight I will be brief. I am posting three pictures. First is a triangle gift box. I stamped with Old Olive and the watercolor vine wheel, Pumpkin Pie ink, Summer Sun, Ruby Red and Chocolate Chip. I used an inexpensive GP cardstock for these in natural colors because of the quantity I made. I used SU retired set Paint Prints.
I need to finish some more. I found them on my desk, they were cut punched and scored , but amazingly got hidden in the mess of getting everything done. I am glad I found then iin time to finish them.

The second picture is of the infamous flag I have been painting. ugh I am glad it is done.

The third picture is for fun and info. I really want to stamp one of these skirt purses I found at Wal mart for less than 4 $. Don't they just go with our Lime green theme. My DD decorated hers. I couldn't convince her to let me stamp it. I guess when things settle down I am running to the Walmart to grab one to do for fun.

Until later ...Happy Stamping!

Little Flowers sketch card

Yeah, I got to make a card, and believe it or not all the teenagers are still sleeping... after I do this post I get to wake them Up!
I made this card for SCS Sketch challenge 135 chose to use white for the base. Old Olive for the diagonal matted in Basic Black, and Perfect Plum.
I used Basic Black, Perfect Plum, Pale Plum and Barely Banana Ink. I drew the stems with Old Olive Marker.
I used the Watercolor Vine stamping wheel, Big Pieces for the large flower and Little flowers for the main image. I added two hero arts 2mm gem stones for the centers of the light flowers. I sponged BB ink on the edges of the card base and oval. I only own the giga Oval Scalloped punch so when I punch the oval image I punch both then trim the scallops of one and then trim another 1/8th inch around to make it more centered. Because I don't trim exact I sponge the edges and raised it on dimensionals to hide the fact I didn't use a punch. I mark the matted piece with a pencil around the oval in the center of the scallops and then punched the marks out with a 1/16th circle punch. I always mess up if I dont mark the centers with a pencil first. Since I needed dot the center of the large pieces flower., I just used a pencil eraser. I thought it's rubber and its about the right size. It worked really well. I used pastel yellow MM rivets some yellow baby rick rack off a micro spool, and black gingham checked. I didn't get the ribbon straight. I marked and the slightly punched the edges to help the ribbon stay in place on the slanted edge but I goofed a bit and it's slightly slanted. Cherish is from the warm words SU Set, and was punched out with a word window punch. I punched five, and the one was cut in half and the others at various lentghs and then adhered to the card, trimmed and then punched with an 1/8" circle punch and then rivets attached. Well it felt great to finally make a card again, and post it. I will try to post again tonight.
I hope to finish the flag today. I need to go paint the blues and bluegreens. I will try to post a picture, but I need to add the details after it dries. Here is hoping everything today goes well.
Until later ... Happy Stamping!

Again? ARRG!!!

100th post woohoo. Sorry its such a disappointment. I guess I fibbed yesterday, unintentionally of course. I thought I was BUSY Monday. I guess I really wasnt because today(Tuesday) has been the craziest. I didnt even get my computer on until after 12:30 am( Wed). It was an insane day. Tomorrow is going to be better. Tomorrow I actually get to finish painting my flag and then make some cards, and honestly that is all I am doing. I am going to do a challenge card as soon as I get up in the morning and then paint the darn flag I didnt even get to touch today. Then in the evening I will post a picture of the flag and another card for tomorrow and then I'll need to decide if there is something fun I can do for the 100th post and the 4500 visitors. I will come up with something before camp. Thanks for tolerating my insane schedule right now.

good Night and may tomorrow(Today) be a ...Happy Stamping Day! ( I sure need one)
