Today was a very busy day. I had to finish shopping for camp food. It sure takes a lot to feed hungry teenage girls for a week. I also spent the day finishing up organizing charts for organization and chores. But I am finally almost finished. I got home from all the errands and took a nap at 7 pm. I had too much to do and I was tired. I still need to make sure my girls have everything they need to go, but I have tomorrow for that.
One of the last things I had to do was decorate the circle books I made for camp. I had decided a few weeks ago that they were fine with decorative paper, and if I didnt have time to finish them that would be okay. After I finished up what I needed to do tonight. I dug them out and finished decorating them. Arent they cute? They are being used for everyone to write nice things about each other in.
I purchased the decorative paper at Michaels and talked about it in this earlier post. It talks about how I cut all the paper for the books with my cricut. The covers are circle Coasters I purchased from Starlit Studio. I bought the prima petites from All That Scraps. I used the heather colored ones. I used my computer to print the sentiment. I have found that if you set the paper to have 4 columns you can type sentiments that fit with in the small tag punch. You have to watch the height. I type five sentiments per column, and make sure I have a bout an inch between them. then I allignthem Horizontally so i can cut the apart and use the punch on them. I used my SU tag punches to cut the cardstock and sentiments out. I used my Cuttlebug and the Tiny Tags Dies to cut the tags out for the names. I've used these dies for a lot of little tags on cards. The rhinestones I purchased in a $ section at either Archivers or
Target. I bought them awhile ago to use for camp, because I need to keep within the camp budget. They were a sentiment saying Cutie Pie. I cut the word to separate the rhinestones and use a pointer to lift them off and put them where needed.

Here is a picture of my mess from making 18 of these, I even get one. I just wanted to show you the crystals stickers. Ignore the rest of the mess, I am, until the end of August. (wink, wink)
Just one more quick story, I had planned to tie both tags on the ribbon together, but I didnt like the look. I covered the holes I punched with my 1/8" circle punch with the primas. I noticed my punch was not working the best and was kind of sticking. Then I realized I hadn't emptied it out in ages. It literally rained tons of little colorful confetti into the garbage. I am relieved it wasn't a problem with the punch.
I am going to try an make some cards Saturday and Sunday for my DD to post while I am gone. I am just so busy I dont know if I'll get around to it. I will also be posting after mid-night Sunday, some Blog Candy. I'm not sure what, but I'll figure it out and post it Monday bright and early before I leave. This one will run from the 6th until the 27th, you will be able to comment more than once, but only once a day. I will use the Random Number picker online to choose a winner. Please come back Monday to see what it is.
I hope you get some relaxing time on your vacation. We plan on going to visit my son next month.
