4th of July Blog Candy
I thought I would share, because I also accidently bought something I already had. Have you ever had one of those oops purchases. I accidently bought this Autumn Leaves clear stamp called "sketch flower". Its very cute but its just like a stamp in the large flower set I already own.
I am offering it as blog candy to celebrate the 4th of July. I know its simple in this picture, but I am throwing in 1 of the Sakura Souffle pens in opaque white, I took the other 1 out of the package. I bought it to try and I thought someone else might like to try one also. I like their glaze, glue & stardust pens so I wanted to try this one. I didnt wan't the stamp & pen to be lonely so I added one of the sugar free mint tin boxes I made last week(yes it has mints in it).
I know this is very simple blog candy. I am going to offer it through mid-night 4th of July. Please just leave a comment, any comment will do, to participate. One of my children will pick a random number from a hat or bag or something. I will announce the winner when I post on the 5th, sometime after mid-night on the 4th.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I will be posting something new probably on Monday and Tuesday. Maybe Sunday, I am celebrating my DD B-day with the family, if I am able to get something finished I will make a post.
Until then...Happy Stamping!

Last of the Swap cards
These cards all use stamp sets that are retiring TODAY. This first card uses the Spring Garden stamp set. I love the colors and the way the Live Love & Laugh are repeated and cut out, very cute card. I already sent this one to my DD#2.The polished stone technique, and the "In Full Bloom" stamp set are usedin the next card. I like the beautiful colors she chose to use for this card. The polished stone technique is easy and produces and elegant look, that can be used in many ways.
The next card uses Sporting Goods, a set I am seriously thinking of ordering today because it covers a vast number of sports and with the new sport words it woould cover my needs for sports stamps.
The last card uses "Happy Everything" not retiring but versatile. I love this word set, and the retiring "Treat Yourself" another set I dont have that I might call my demo to order. I like the way she uses the Chocolate Chip circles to accent this card and the three red rivets, so Cute.
I am just weighing, where to spend my craft money. Should I buy from the new catalog or the old one. What a spot to be in! I am also thinking about papertrey's 5 new sets coming out on the 15th. There are so many new things to buy and I still have only so much I can spend on my hobby. Have a Nice Weekend.
Until Later ...Happy Stamping!

Baby Gift Card & simple tutorial for tag card
used a light pink card stock from that Michaels Botanicals set. Its a little lighter weight than the SU cardstock and because there are so many folds I wanted to make it lighter, for mailing purposes. I cut the sheet of paper in half length wise. I will probably use the other half for a birthday or wedding gift card, I need to make. I scored the paper at, 2-7/8",6",9". I used the "Petals" wheel, I forgot I had it until I saw it in the new catalog, to emboss the card base.I embossed the top two sections and the bottom section. Iused Stampendous, "Kaleidoscope Transparent", Stamp'n Stuff embossing powder. You can not see the multicolored glitter shine here but it is beautiful, irridescent.

I measured the gift card(this isnt the card I am using I havent picked up a cute baby one yet) on the inside front flap, and then marked a light pencil line to where the edge of the gift card is and centered on the flap. I then punched, with my SU slit tool punch, the little notches that will secure the card, and I erased the pencil lines.
I added a small pink MM "Sherbet" Flower to the left flap. I wished it was white, but didn't have one and Ididn't want to take the time to emboss one.
I used my Tag Box Stamp and Mini Mates for image and sentiment for the tags. I wanted a mini tag card so I folded and creased the pink paper and then punched it in my SU Large Tag
I use it a lot for its little sayings and images for that little extra, Umpf!
I hope you enjoy this little giftcard card.
Until Later.... Happy Stamping!!!

Guess What, A Few More Swap Cards
This next card is by Sharon, SCS name & gallery link "sreynolds". She used the Nice and Easy notes set. The image was stamped with Black Versa Fine and clear embossed then she colored with prismacolor pencils, and used a blending marker to blend. She also used crystal lacquer to give it a clear embossed look. She also used the Marvy Mega nad Giga scalloped circle punches to punch out the image and the black matting. I just love her decorative paper and ribbon choice also. Wouldn't this card just perk you up if you were sick?
