Baby Gift Card & simple tutorial for tag card

I wanted to make a giftcard card for a baby. I used a light pink card stock from that Michaels Botanicals set. Its a little lighter weight than the SU cardstock and because there are so many folds I wanted to make it lighter, for mailing purposes. I cut the sheet of paper in half length wise. I will probably use the other half for a birthday or wedding gift card, I need to make. I scored the paper at, 2-7/8",6",9". I used the "Petals" wheel, I forgot I had it until I saw it in the new catalog, to emboss the card base.

I embossed the top two sections and the bottom section. Iused Stampendous, "Kaleidoscope Transparent", Stamp'n Stuff embossing powder. You can not see the multicolored glitter shine here but it is beautiful, irridescent.

I measured the gift card(this isnt the card I am using I havent picked up a cute baby one yet) on the inside front flap, and then marked a light pencil line to where the edge of the gift card is and centered on the flap. I then punched, with my SU slit tool punch, the little notches that will secure the card, and I erased the pencil lines.
I added a small pink MM "Sherbet" Flower to the left flap. I wished it was white, but didn't have one and Ididn't want to take the time to emboss one.

I used my Tag Box Stamp and Mini Mates for image and sentiment for the tags. I wanted a mini tag card so I folded and creased the pink paper and then punched it in my SU Large Tag Punch making sure not to cut the left side. I took a very nice picture of this but the flash on the camera was so bright it didnt come out. I punched out the baby image with the SU small tag punch and adhered it to the front. then punched a small hole to thread the ribbon through with my 1/8th in punch and then stamped "welcome baby" inside. I made this little card because I thought it could be used for a baby scrapbook, where the gift card might not. I thought the card needed a bit more after I tied the tag card on with the white 3/4" organza ribbon(Target$), so I used the "baby pin" image from Mini Mates. I stamped in Pretty in Pink and then punched out with a 1" circle punch and then 1/8" punch to make a tag. I then tied it on with a light pink gingham ribbon for the finishing touch. If you dont have Mini Mates, yet; I highly recommend it. Tomorrow is the last day to order it from SU!

I use it a lot for its little sayings and images for that little extra, Umpf!

I hope you enjoy this little giftcard card.
Until Later.... Happy Stamping!!!
