Blog Candy 2

WINNER ANNOUNCED

I am such an
embellish- ment
junkie. I wish I had lots of baskets full of them that I could just run my fingers through them and let them fall like rain. Today as I was organzing some of them so I can better see and find what I have! (Now I can quit purchasing duplicates , KWIM.) I have so many embellishments I filled four of these storage things, and I still have more.

I decided I was close enough to 2000 post to give away Blog Candy now. I am doing something different this time. I have alot of embellishments and ribbon. I Can't seem to get enough of them, (This is me winking)!!! I decided I would give some of it away as Blog Candy. To start off, I picked up one of these cute "CraftMate" organizers. I have found they work well for my brads, buttons, beads, rivets, etc... the see through tops make it easy to find the embellishment you're looking for. There is a handy button on the end that unlocks the lids. It helps prevent those accidental spills, and each comparments lid can be opened separately from the others. 14 compartments in all.

I have selected a variety of brads, & rivets for putting in the different pockets. Some of those selected are the cute button and flower brads I just love by Making Memories, and some of the Queen & Co. Sprinkles in different colors with stripes and swirls. I have also included a few nickel loopy rivets by Karen Foster. (You can see some of them if you care to look closer at the picture!)

A yard each of 10 colors of ribbon & one package of the foam mounting squares that I picked up in the dollar section at Target. The Office Accoutrement Thank You card I made 2 weeks ago and posted in the blog, is a special re-useable thank you for participating, and helping my blog succeed.

Since I am going to be away for a few days with no computer access , I thought I would post the Blog Candy over the weekend and hope people would post a comment on it. I am going to leave it open until Monday late. But I will probably post a card or something on Monday. I will announce the winner on Tuesday, June 19th. I hope you will share info about this give away with your friends. I would love to see how many post can be made. I'ld also like to hear from the many people visiting my blog. the counter said 1855 when it was posted.

I would just like anyone who comments to tell me what their favorite embellishment is,.. and why or how they use it.

Have a great Weekend and Until Later, ...Thanks, & Happy Stamping...

  1. I llllooovvveee embellishments! I am just now starting to "allow" myself to use them on creations. Before, it had to be an extra special item to get an embellishment! My favorite are brads! They are easy to use and look so nice on a page or card. I use ribbon on almost every scrapbook page, so that is a close second! Thanks!

  4. Hmmmm ... favorite embellishment?? I love brads and ribbon. Brads can add a little 'pop' in just the right place. It's often a finishing touch for some cards.

Oh ... I really like die cuts, too. Using those on cards with pop dots can be SOOOOO cute. But then, I bet you know that. :)

  15. What a nice assortment of blog candy you are offering! Thank you! I guess the embellishment I reach for the most at this point in my card making is Stickles glitter glue, but ribbon and buttons are things I use often too.

  18. My favorite would have to be a tie between ribbon and primas. Ribbon I like to use in lots of ways, but I even save little pieces so I can fold and staple to add a little sumthin. Primas always add a bit of pretty with a brad or jewel in the center. I even love them layered with flower punches!

My favorite is brads. They come in so many shapes, and colors, and sizes. And they are so much easier to use than eyelets (even with my Crop-a-dile...KWIM :)
Brads add just enough bling to any project!

  23. I adore ribbon, primas, brads, and charms. Oh...I can't forget glitter glue! I don't use them all at once because I like the clean look to my cards, but the embellishment I use would be that which best matches the theme of the card.
