I am making a card for a papertrey swap. I wanted to make a neat simple card. I am mounting the front on a Chocolate Chip Base. Its not quite what I pictured yet. I am thinking of either covering the sentiment with something else and do it different or, coloring the background with markers to accentuate some of the circles. I'm not sure so I need some input.
Give me some ideas please!
I have used papertrey faux ribbon stamp set, with Chocolate Chip, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie & Ruby Red, on white cardstock. I've also used the cuttlebug spots and dots and some MM "Primary" Brads in Orange and Red.
THis is not finished but is a work in progress.
Well until I get this figured out or until I just put it aside and do something else for a bit... Happy Stamping!
ok I love the white CB background. I think yes you could colour a few circle with the colours of the striped peice and that would tie it all in together!
ReplyDeleteI also hate it when I think a card needs something and dont know what! I also hate it when I want to use a stamp set or paper and just cant get what I want to do with it :P
I'll throw out my two cents, I think it needs a color break between the light color horizontal band and the white background. I think if you mounted the striped piece on a dark color and then put that on the white cardstock, everything would show up better...for what it's worth. ;)
ReplyDeleteMaybe mount the horizontal piece on a solid color to separage it a little more, and put a greeting on a tab that hangs below the horizontal piece, but in the same spot. (Clear as mud?) Like a tab from the tab punch, or just a rectangle piece of cs. It is a very pretty card, though!
