Little Lady Shrink it Card

I wanted to play with my Papertrey stamps again! I haven't for a week and I am still getting the technique down for using them them. The LO for this card is from the SCS Sketch challenge SC127. I am having fun with these Challenges. The base of this card is SU Elegant Eggplant, the front of the cards corners were punched using the Fiskars Corner Punch Embosser "Glory" and then, both the front and back corners together rounded with My EK Corner rounder punch. This is very hard to see in the picture. Then I decided I wanted to make the Lady Bug with Aleen's Shrink-it . I stamped the boby and the Spotted parts of the Large Lady bug. For the body I just Rolled the edge of the base on my Timber Brown Stazon ink, so that just a shadowed layer was stamped then I stamped the spots & head stamp in the same color. I colored the image on the Shrink-it with a Colorific Purple and Crayola Yellow Colored Pencil. Then I baked it according to manufactures directions. After it cooled I used my new Sakura glaze pen to add the shine to the spots and head.

I also cut a 4" piece of silver wire,24 guage, and added two tiny black beads on to each end, and then wraped the 3/4" piece back around itself making a piece of wire with two black beads, one on each end. This was used to shape the antennea, because I felt the thick and chunky lady bug needed something more than stamped ones available . The strip of light yellow card stock was cut to 3/4"x 4-1/4" and stamped with the "S" trail in SU Chocolate Chip. I mounted it onto a strip of Old Olive cardstock, cut to 1-1/4"x 4-1/4", 1/8th inch down from the top and then stamped the Celebrate sentiment. Iused a clear ruler and my SU Choc. Chip marker to add tiny faux stiching to the Old Olive piece on the bottom edge.

Old Olive cardstock was trimmed to 3-1/4x 4-1/2", and I rounded the Corners with my EK Punch. After doing this I used my "Bubbles" A2 Embossing folder, with my Cuttlebug. I prepared a piece of Whisper White cardstock by trimming it to 2-3/4x4", and punching the corners with a SU Ticket Corner punch. Using a SU jumbo wheel to Roll the "Watercolor Vine" on a 45 degree angle from the corner in SU Old Olive. I also used the flowers in the "Little Lady" set to stamp, small with Pretty In Pink, medium in Barely Banana, and large in Pale Plum, randomly along the vine image. For the cross piece I stamped some large flowers, by coloring the edges with my lavendar lace marker stamping it off once and then stamping on the Pretty in Pink stamp pad, then stamping on a piece of white cardstock. I did several flowers until I obtained the look I wanted. With the large flower, I trimmed it close to the edge and then punched an 1/8th inch hole in the center and used my Kurio Large Yellow brads for the center. I purchased these brads in an assorted set at Target, I loved the white stripes on them. After inserting the brad I curled up the petals using my finger and then punched a hole in the in the yellow & green strip to mount it. After the whole strip is mounted to the card front, I mounted the Ladybug to it using a dimensional, then wrapped the piece of wire around it to form the antennea, and then bent it to the shape I wanted. If its too long just keep twisting bending and shaping. Being careful not to break the wire.
Until tomorrow....Happy Stamping!

Edit: I know I posted early but I am sleepy and didnt want to wait until midnight, so if you check before then you got to see it early.
