Little Boy Card

I looked at the Challenges again today and I wanted to use this one with four squares lined up. I think it was SC124 the next one on the list.
I decided because I had been making little girl cards I thought I would make a little boy card.

When I picked up these little stampsets at Michaels for 1$. I decided to use them in the little squares.

I used my Cricut to cut out 4 white squares, and 4 various colored squares in a shadow, with the Mini Monograms Cartridge. I stamped the images and water colored them with my pin point H20 painterand watercolor paints. It really makes it nice to paint thin lines and tiny areas. I used SU Ballet Blue for the base I stamped it with Crosshatch background in Craft white and then embossed with Kalidescope powder to add a little shimmer. I stamped the images with Stazon Black Ink, and the "sentiment" was colored in with white gel pen. The colored squares are raised up on dimensionals. Finally I tied a red gingham ribbon around the body of the card. I really wanted to use all the basic colors on this card. I hope you enjoy the card.

I also posted this picture of the clear stamps I
picked up at Michael's for a dollar. It is always lucky if you happen across one of the bins when its full. I have been checking for months and only found remnants. Today I lucked out and I bought a few, there were probably 10 sets in all. I purchased 7! I hope your Michaels has a full bin when you stop in. They are darling little stamps.

Until Monday ...Happy Stamping....

  1. there are actually 2 waves of these stamps. I counted 15 the first time and 12 the second but now have seen a couple more online. JOann's also has a set from Autumn Leaves-12-15 of those too.
