I needed to make a Graduation Card for today and I meant to do it last night. My gardening and outside work didn't help me to do that, I was so Sore. I need a long soak in the tub, and afterwards I was just to tired and relaxed to go in my craft room and make a card. SO as soon as things were settled for the day I went in and created this card. Isn't it interesting how when you want the bling and glitter to show up on a card it won't and when you can hardly see it in real life it shows up in the picture.
The "Happy Gradution" sentiment was stamped with Brilliance "Platnium Planet" ink stamped on Elegant Eggplant. I accidently ran my finger across it when adhering the black to the Elegant Eggplant base, next time I set it with my heat tool, so much for the quick drying when you are in a hurry. The card really looks fine so I didn't re-do it. The Black cardstock was trimmed 1/4 " samller than the Elegant Eggplant and then embossed with the D'vine Swirl Cuttlebug folder. If you have a cuttlebug and your wondering which folder to purchase first this would be my selection. I use it the most, and I find the background can be elegant or playful. I chose it for this card because I wanted the graduation Caps to look like they were tossed in the air. I felt the swirling background did that. The Graduation Caps are a Quikuts two part die, my favorite store for QuicKuts Dies on line is Stamp Attic . I cut it out in Whisper White and Elegant Eggplant. I used the school colors and made the last cap the actual colors they wear at Graduation. I also mounted the Caps on dimensionals to help with the visual effect. The two white ones on EK 3D-Dots,1/16th thin ones, and the purple on Therm O Web Foam Squares 1/8th inch one for added height, after punching holes and adding 2 white brads. I purchased the brads at "All That Scraps". I was glad to find them they are so hard to find sometimes. "All That Scraps" is a great online store, I love its selection, and service, and the free shipping for my 10$ orders. If you put K Ostvig in the comment line on your order I'll get a discount on my next order( this is me winking)! The word window was cut with my SU Word Window Punch. I decided place ment and the size it needed to be. I drew with pencil on the Black cardstock a rectangle. I lined the word window up on the bottom line and punched twice to get the length and the lined the top of the window punch on the top pencil line and punched twice to get the height and top length. I lined up the sides so that the flat of the window lined up on the bottom/top to end where the pencil line did. The curved portion extended beyond the rectangel drawn in pencil. Then I used the punch to punch a third time in the middle on the top and bottom to cut out any remnants of where the two punches lined up. I made faux rivets in the corners by punching holes with my 1/16th inch circle punch and tracing with my singlo white gel pen purchased through SU. I have been wanting to try this technique, using it here seemed to work, because I thought 6 brads would overwhelm the card. I also hand wrote"2007" on the Cap.
Incase you were wondering, I am waiting for my blending solution to arrive to finish my Bellas. I had an item on back order, and told them to hold it until the item came in. So it should arrive today or Monday. I was going to weed whack today, but my hip is hurting. I might just play in my craft room. I have some projects I need to get too. Maybe I'll have something to post later.
Until next time... Happy Stamping!

I ordered from both these sites for two of my kids graduations and was very pleased with the unique and exclusive cards at very good prices. The thing I really liked was their same day shipping. I always recommend these two sites to all my family and friends.
