Digital Fathers Day Photo Card

I have been so very busy for two days. I literally have not had time to stamp or scrap. I wanted to make a quick post this morning and then I will probably make 2-3 today in the afternoon & evening. I will probably do the same tomorrow. I will be gone fishin' on the weekend, my hubby's fathers day present , but I will have a lot of post on Monday as I'll have the weekend to get some things made. Usually I stamp alot of images and then take colored pencils with me and I color. I can do that and watch the kids swim.

The quick card I chose for this morning Is the card I made for my Father for Fathers Day, I made it a few months ago when I made my Mothers Day Card. I was feeling nostalgic this year and wanted to use old family pictures and so this is waht I came up with. I print the cards on Royal Brights Matte Photo Paper. I have a box I picked up at Sams Club. I use it for pictures and for stamping it is a nice paper with a nice finish & feel. It takes ink really well. I've used it for "shaving cream" technique also with excellent results. I usually print up two cards at a time to use paper best. SO I did Mothers Day and Fathers Day cards at the same time. I print both sides and then I used a 3/4 " punch to punch a window so part of the image (My face) shows through. With the Picture I chose for my dad's card our family pet was cutting off half of my face. His face is showing through the window. I thought it was funny with the sentiment. The second picture in this post shows the image and sentiment inside of the card. I use Adobe Photo Shop elements to edit and manipulate the photos and wording. Someday I will spend my money on the newer version of Photoshop, but for now I am content to spend my extra money on Stamping supplies and cartridges for my Cricut. I used a scanned digital picture and the different effects to make the picture more opaque, sepia and give it a drop shadow. I have a Book called "The Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Word" by Linda LaTourelle. I use it often for card sentiments and wording on Scrapbook pages. I have made wedding cards and baby cards, etc. with my computer when I just cant find the time to stamp. I have also used My computer to make digital scrapbook pages. You just have to love the additional options a computer gives to you as a card maker/scrapbooker. I have another card to post later, using some art work of my DD#7 so Until Later today...

..Happy Stamping...
