I have two things I have made to share today. One is my first ever challenge card that I actually finished in time to submit to Split Coast Stampers SCS it is for the Sketch Challenge(SC) SC126.
This was a hard challenge for me because, I would prefer to not be going in two directions on a card. I chose colors that I've been wanting to use together from a Prepack of Paper I picked up at Michaels called Botanical Fashion Colors and a Package of Brown labeled Solid Naturals cardstock Brown tones. I stamped the image using SU Pretty in Pink and then rolled the edges ( Rock N Roll technique) on my SU Old Olive Ink pad. I used Pastel Making Memories brads in light pink to add some accent and the main Image is also raised up using those dimensionals I picked up at target last week. The ribbon is a brown dotted swiss I picked up at Wal-mart. I used my Cuttlebug and various A2 Embossing folders that I purchased on line at ALL THAT SCRAPS to emboss the cream background(D'vine Swirls) and the olive( Tiny Bubbles) and light pink(Bloom Dots) strips. I think it turned out nice.
I really like that it was simple and the Lay out was easy because it was given to me. The Sketches on SCS can help give you the kick start you need. I didn't even know what image I was going to use until the rest of the card was finished. It really saved me time because sometimes I get lost just sitting and looking at the stamps. This time I knew I needed just a simple sentiment because of the detail in the embossing. I would recommend the challenges to any one in a card making slump. Just to get the creative juices flowing.

In Nichole's Blog on May 2oth she posted these darling baby T's in a clear Paint Pail, from Kim Schofield, aren't they darling. I have a lot of Baby events like blessings, and showers in the next few days. I used Papertrey's "Little Lady" and "Faux Ribbon" stamp sets to make these two little Baby T's for a Baby shower Thursday evening. I am definately going to make a few more for another baby event I have this weekend. They are simple and easy. Just watch out for the ink on the transfer paper it comes off easily onto your fingers when you stamp and or cut the images out. The red lady bug was also stamped with SU Real Red classic ink, it got really bright on the t-shirt so be prepared for some color change to occur. The littlest lady bug was stamped with SU Green Galore classic ink. I used my computer to print the wordart I chose directly on the iron on transfer paper in reverse. I then stamped the rest of the image and trimmed it. Nichole gives the step by step directions in her post.
I wan't to try my "Wild About You" set with some craft ink in the future. The T-shirt transfer paper does work great with the classic ink as you can see, but my fat fingers tend to muss it up a bit. I want to also try it with acrylic paints. A Fun versatile project I m sure I will use again and again.
Until Next time....Happy Stamping....
