6" scrapbook pages

Went to my SU Demos last night to finish up the last 2 pages for my 12 page Scrapbook. Now I just need to find pictures to go in them. Because these items were made at my demos all items used are Stampin Up products.

The first page made was for a Father's Picture. I Can't decide if I should use it for my dad or My DH. It is very hard to see but the first thing we did was used the Dotted diamonds stamp from the "Looks Like Spring" set to print a pattern on the bottom of the page in Night of Navy Ink on the Night of Navy Background. I think if I had it and did it again I would use So Saffron craft ink so it would stand out better. We used SU new designer paper 2 1/2x6" striped side up mounted about 1/2"down. Then the So Saffron ribbon was adhered along the page. A piece of paper about 3 3/4x51/2" was scored 3/4" on both sides, and a piece cut at about 1 1/2".

You make the shirt by folding the scored sides striped side in then you score lightly 1/2" across the end and fold toward the side without the seam then folded at an angle toward the open seam. The bottom of the shirt is then folded up toward the front so it tucks under the collar, and creased. Next you unfold the flap and fold the front panels out at an angle from the top of the seam to the fold, these make the sleaves. (See small picture) Brass brads are used next, one to make a button on the 1 1/2 " strip. The other two are used to hold the round tab piece closed. The "Stamp of Authenticity" stamp set are used next and stamped with Basic Black. The Round Tab is also punched from the new pads of Designer Series Paper after being stamped with the "100%". The "Genuin Article" is stamped on So Saffron and then punched out with the 1-1/4" circle punch. These two pieces were mounted on dimesionals, and the "Happy Fathers Day" sentiment from the All-Year Cheer II, is stamped to fit, decide placement and stamp before mounting. The picture matting piece of So Saffron was cut at 3-1/2x4-1/2" and sponged on the edges and dragged on the Night of Navy stamp pad.

The second page was quick and easy, but took a little bit of coloring. We used the "Eat Cake" stamp set and Whisper White cardstock was cut to 2- 1/8x3-3/8" and the corners trimmed with the Tag Corner Punch. We used Tempting Turquoise, Gabel Green, Green Galore, Lavendar Lace and Yo Yo Yellow markers to color the stamps. We started at the bottom and stamped to the top. The Small piece of Lavendar Lace Paper was cut 1/2 x 1" and then trimmed by hand after eat cake was stamped with lavendar lace. It was attached to the tag with a piece of Turqoise grosgrain ribbon and a silver SU brad. Set this Tag aside for later. The Twinkle & Dots background spot was used with Green Galore to stamp the bottom of the Green Galore base. A 1-3/4 "x 6" strip of Tempting Turquoise is stamped in TT ink with the "Dotted" background stamp, and placed about 1/2" up from the bottom of the Base. A strip of Lavendar Lace cut at 1/2x6" is placed directly above the TT piece edges touching. A piece of Gable Green for matting was cut at 3-3/4 x 4-5/8" and a paper piercing tool was used to punch holes around the perimeter. This was mounted at an angle to the base. and then in a spot on the upper right corner, after the othe pieces are placed. a piece of Post it note was punched with a circle punch and used to mask the cardstock and as a guide to write "Happy Birthday To You" with Black marker, after using the marker stamp the Twinkle & Dots background spot in the center with Green Galore. I got my stamp to wet with the ink pad, but you get the idea. My Demo said this page was presented at SU Regionals Fall of 2006.
