Goin Out in Style Swap

Recently I posted 5 cards I made for a "Goin Out in Style" swap. Other people did multiple crads for this swap also. Using our retiring stamps sets. The cards I recieved are really nice so I thought I would post some since I havent had time to play with my own that much this week. Next week should be much better. "Ellibee" her SCS name also joined me in making 5 cards. I am posting her cards today. She does really nice work, and just like me her children keep her busy also. The first card uses "A New Little Someone" a great baby themed stamp set I just might have to order before next Saturday. I love the look of the PrintPattern Background stamp with the Bashful Blue, Barely Banana, & Mellow Moss The multicolor really ties this card together. I need to ask her how she did this technique. A very simple yet beautiful way to welcome any baby.
This lovely Black and white one used the "flower filled" SU set the white images are heat embossed on the card. The next card was stamped with "Treat Yourself" I liked the way she used the ticket corner punch on the sentiment. doesnt it add to the theme of the card. The one thing that is relly hard to see in the picture is how she cut out each piece of pop corn and layered it in the picture. It looks great here but in real life it really makes it look like a box of popcorn.
The fourth card is this colorful one made with "Tag Time" I love how bright and cheerful this birthday card is. The colors just pop. She also used the "Crosshatch" Background stamp which is also being retired. The three grosgrain ribbons to go with three ballons looks really great. The last card is this lucious popsicle one. Doesnt it just scream Summer is hear. The sentiment came from the "Treat Yourself" set used earlier. The little light green ribbon tied onto the Checkered gingham looks really cute and is really set off by the light green rivets. Isnt this card great.
Allison has been in several swaps I have been in and I have never been disappointed with a card she made. Frankly the reason I made 5 differnet cards is I didnt want to miss out on one of hers. Thanks Allison for letting me Blog your cards. If you're interested you can look at Allisons SCS Gallery here.
until later ...Happy Stamping

  1. Just a quick note on the "A New Little Someone" The print patern background was versa marked and then used the poppin pastel technique with the pastels simple but cute!
