Scratch Art Card

My DD#7 did a scratch art bears 8.5x11". I posted it in my family blog. My Mom saw it emailed me and suggested it would be a good idea, to make it into a card. My Daughter did a very good job scratching these 3 cubs and the Mama Bear, she has a lot of talent for a 12 yr old.
I matted the bears in Real Red and stamped the "For You" tag stamp that came with the SU Punch Tag Box, Winter or Holiday Mini '05. I trimmed it with SU small tag punch and then used the SU large tag punch in Red. I had originally just rolled the white background with Black ink using my SU Spot On Jumbo Wheel, but I didn't like the look. For a quick fix I, used my Spots & Dots A2 embossing folder in my Cuttlebug and embossed a piece of Basic Black cardstock. I added a gingham black checkered ribbon around the whole card by making a small 1/4" slit on the fold of the card, and threading the ribbon through it. After threading the tag on I also looped a small 2 1/2 " piece of red gigham throught hte tag and secured it to the card. Lastly I added a large striped Red Kurio Brad I picked up at Target. The red matted bear image and the Tag are raised on Dimesionals. When I look at it now I think it would be alot better, if the "Spot On Wheel" was applied with Real Red ink. My mom will love it like this so I wont be changing it. I think she had a great idea. What better way to show off any of your kids art work than with a homemade card.
Until Later....Happy Stamping....
