In my free time a few days ago I stamped several "Embrace Life" flowers, and masked them to stamp the stems over the top. I colored 5 of these flowers all together I have left sentiments off of them because my stash is low in all areas... I decided to make a few up that I can use on anything while I work on building up my stash of Birthdays, Getwell, Thank you, Sympathy and Thinking of You cards.... Both cards use GP White and Certainly Celery. One uses More Mustard and the other Riding hood Red . The more mustard card was made for Splitcoast SC215 challenge. I used my So Swirly jumbo wheel to ink up the background. and the Brown is from a nuetrals value pack I got at Michaels, before I learned about the advantages of thicker paper. I used my Prismacolor Pencils to color the flower with a blender, and my Watercolor Wonder Crayons to paint the leaves.
This red card really make me think of apple blossoms, which right now I am dying to see. It will be a few months yet before the leaves burst out and the spring flowers are blooming, so these cards are as close as I can get right now.
I used my Floral Screen Cuttle Bug Folder and Dotted Swiss to emboss on both cards. I was going to just have two panels but decided to round th ecorner and off set the image with the ribbon and bow. I used my slot punch to put the holes in the image panel to thread the ribbon through. I loved adding a bit more color with the MM 5th Ave Flower brads I picked up at Target.
Until Later ... Happy Stamping!
