I have been meaning to do a few challenges on Splitcoast for the last few weeks. One I made a week ago and the other one I finished up today...They are probably way to late to post on the challenges but they are simple easy cards and I thought since everyone seems to be busy I would share them.
Both Cards use a very similar style. I used kraft paper for the base of both cards...I also used aqua painters and reinkers to color in the images. On the first one Certainly Celery and Old Olive were used to add a bit of color to the dragon fly.
I used some Cuttlebug folders on the cards also Twigs, and Mosaic...I reversed the mosaic on the the first card just to have a different feel. I thought the reversed impression looked more like a snake skin and went well with the buggy theme of the card.
The first card was originally for "Wendybell"s LSC226 called "Chinese Take Out" but I inadvertantly put the ribbon on the card and goofed. I used Teeny Tiny verses for the Sentiment.
The second card I made using the CC225,"Krafty Saffron Nights"! I used the "Flitting By" wheel and a Sentiment from "For a Friend" to make the second card. Some cardstock scraps of So Saffron and Night of Navy were used also. I cut and used the aqua painter to color the butterflies and curled the wing tips around a pen. I then mounted them on dimensionals.
Just a few simple cards I think my FIL and SIL will appreciate this week for their Birthdays.
Until later ... Happy Stamping!
